Job Description	Introduction: Foundation Summary: The Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation�s mission is to create a secure, sustainable, and equitable future for India�s citizens by supporting policies and significantly, policy implementation, that promote energy efficiency, sustainable transportation, and renewable energy. Shakti aims to catalyze policy development and implementation, including India�s National Action Plan for Climate Change and Integrated Energy Policy. Shakti is a member of the ClimateWorks network. ClimateWorks is a worldwide philanthropic network organized to win the battle against climate change. Its goal is to ensure that the global average temperature does not increase by more than 2�C�a threshold many scientists describe as a dangerous tipping point. ClimateWorks network partners work in the world�s largest economies to promote policies to achieve sustainable, low carbon growth. Focus Area: Shakti focuses on enacting policies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions through the following areas: * Energy efficiency for industry, buildings, appliances, and vehicles, and demand-side management in the power sector. * Green and sustainable cities, especially transit-oriented development and low-cost, sustainable transportation solutions. * Rural energy services that provide cleaner and more reliable energy for cooking, lighting, and other household uses. * Renewable energy, including implementation of India�s National Solar Mission Key Roles and Responsibilities Includes the following and other duties as assigned * Manage the CEO�s calendars and time, doing complex scheduling with high level officials and colleagues in country and across the globe. * Arrange national and international travel for CEO * Prepare contracts and monitor deliverables, reports and contract deadlines for all current and future consultants * Conduct financial reconciliations for all expenses associated with the CEO�s travels and the organization in its early stages * Support in executing events * Support in the hiring process * Ensure that the CEO is fully briefed and prepared for meetings, events, and trips by providing or obtaining background information for these commitments * Research and/or prepare materials for meetings and presentations; compile reference material as needed * Track progress of current issues, from initial identification through final resolution, in a timely manner * Write letters, emails, and reports as needed and contact colleagues within and outside of the foundation Must Haves: Soft Skills * Achievement orientation * Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple and sometimes competing tasks and satisfactorily meet deadlines and desired outcomes * Ability to multi task, sustain pressure and maintain calm * Ability to quickly and accurately analyze problems and identify appropriate solutions * Capable of handling complex issues creatively and effectively * Tact, poise, professionalism, diplomacy, teamwork, humor, and ability to interact with * people from all walks of life and at different levels * Attention to detail and strong organizational skills * Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion Others * Post Graduate Degree, preferably MBA * Five years of experience in a similar role of assisting a significant department or individual in a Corporate or an NGO * Excellent writing and communication skills * Experience in Donor database management * A passionate commitment to the organization�s values, mission, and purpose. * An eye for detail and willingness to work hours that come with being a member of global network * High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) * Self motivated individual with high level energy and possessing impeccable integrity Third Sector Partners, a leading CxO and board search firm in the Not for Profit sector, has been retained by Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation.
