Job Description	*Looking for a new avenue to be part of cutting edge initiatives to create change?.......... “KEF” will provide you the right opportunity and environment* Kaivalya Education Foundation (KEF) is a force for change in the education system in India. We are running two innovative initiatives in Rajasthan and Gujarat to build leadership for educational and social change: School Leadership Programme (SLP) and Gandhi Fellowship (GF). Kaivalya Education Foundation is looking for people with strong implementation and operational skills to support our pedagogical practices on the ground. They will responsible for leading a team of highly motivated young graduates / post graduates; “Gandhi Fellows”, to effect changes in the educational practices in primary government schools and also mentor / coach them over a 24 month highly intense process, in their endeavour of self discovery and help them articulate their dream. In addition they will also work with the Gandhi Fellows to train Headmasters (HMs) in Government run primary schools over 3 year in-service School Leadership Training programme that aims to build their capacity to lead change in the school environment. The programme is designed around 4 areas of leadership: instructional, institutional, social and personal. We are looking for open-minded people with experience in team handling, training or coaching and who are willing to work in a rural set-up for the following positions based in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan 1) Program Manager (PM) (1 Position; Location: Jhunjhunu; Job Code: PM – JJ -02/10): leads the execution of our headmaster and youth leadership initiatives in Jhunjhunu. We need a sharp minded energetic individual with 7-10 years experience in team work, training and mentoring in a similar context. 2) Program leaders (PL) (4 positions; Location: Jhunjhunu): ensure our programmes are effectively implemented on the ground. They will work with a group of about 4-5 Gandhi Fellows to execute our developmental programs. In addition each of the PL’s will also co-ordinate / manage one of the following processes. We need grounded people with 3-5 years experience in team handling, coaching or training ideally in a rural set up a) Program Leader Govt relations: (PLg-JJ-02/10) In addition to managing a team of Gandhi Fellows (“GFs”), the PL will also be responsible for co-ordinating and managing relationships with govt authorities / bodies. Past exposure to this kind of activity is preferable. b) Program Leader Pedagogical Activities: (PLp-JJ-02/10): In addition to managing a team of GFs, the PL will provide the necessary pedagogical inputs in co-ordination with our central support team and the PM during the workshops. Past exposure in academics will be preferable. c) Program Leader HM Co-ordination Activities: (PLh-JJ-02/10): PL’s will provide the logistic support in co-ordinating activities of various HMs during workshops and other related matters in addition to managing team of GF’s. Ability to empathise, convince, co-ordinate HM’s activities and complete necessary documentation will be needed to execute this responsibility. Hence past exposure to logistics management dealing with people older than self will be preferable. d) Program Leader GF mentoring: (PLm-JJ-02/10): The PL will provide the necessary mentoring support to all GF’s in Jhunjhunu as well managing a specific team of GF’s. The PL will co-ordinate all the GF’s activities along with the central support team and the PM and help the GF’s in their self discovery process and enable them to understand their mission. Past experience in working with young people in teaching, mentoring or coaching using activity based sports or performance based tools / techniques will be preferred.
